Scansa Construction was awarded, as general contractor, new construction of a six-story 60 unit mixed-use family rental building. 


The building also has two large ground level commercial spaces which is occupied by the head office of M’akola Development Services and the new office of Hulitan Family & Community Society Services. Construction on the building, designed to the BC Energy Step Code Level 4, began in October of 2018 and is located at 731 Station Avenue in Langford, BC.


A pre-fabricated wood structure on a concrete podium, Scansa Construction was also self-performing the cast-in-place concrete and civil works for the project. Subcontractors were hired to complete the building envelope, drywall, painting, vinyl flooring, passenger elevator and the Electrical & mechanical systems.
