The Project involved CIPP Lining for the Bowker Section of the Regional Trunk Sewer. Scansa Construction provided Civil Construction support services for Insituform Technologies Ltd. The Civil scope consisted of
temporary trenches for bypass pumping and the re & re of key manholes to facilitate the installation of the liner. The existing manholes were undersize and had to be demolished and replaced with new, larger
dia. manholes. Different types of shoring methods and support of existing utilities were among the challenges experienced when excavating in and around the existing sanitary alignment.
