NCCB - North Cowichan Civic Building (Concrete Subcontractor)
Scansa Construction was contracted by Unitec Construction Management for the concrete scope of the newly built North Cowichan Civic Building in North Cowichan. Scansa’s work consisted of forming, placing, and finishing of cast-in-place foundation and slab-on-grade for the base building as well as the exterior retaining walls.
The building foundation supports a 1,492m2 prefabricated metal building that required precise embedment of building anchors for connection to the foundation. Also, the building featured 2 floors of Q-Deck office area with another 3,208m2 of
floor area where Scansa also provided the concrete toppings.
