Scansa Construction was contracted by Durwest Construction Management for the concrete scope of the newly built Western Canadian Marine Response Center in Beecher Bay. Scansa’s work consisted of forming, placing, and finishing of cast-in-place foundation and slab-on-grade for the base building as well as the exterior retaining walls. The building foundation supports an 867m2 prefabricated metal
building by FARO that required precise embedment of building anchors for connection to the foundation. Also, the building featured a mezzanine with another 407m2 of floor area where Scansa also provided the concrete toppings.
